Seems like a hefty premium over normal Sealskinz. Does is actually make any difference in keeping the water from dribbling down between the cuff and your leg?

Yes, I can wear a normal pair of socks underneath and they're bone dry afterwards

Are these reports from the ankle length versions, or something a bit further up the calf?
