[#752014]

Hi, having seen the pain for my brother in law watching his new bike come off his roof, bouncing down the road and being driven over by two cars! I think it's time I invested in a proper set up for my bike. Not wishing to have a frame mounted holder but very much would like to hear if you have any experience for the Mont Blanc Inverted rack or the Fork Mounted Thule number? Any views would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have two Thule 561's, very pleased with them, bike feels very secure when mounted no wobble or movement at all but also quick to use.

I have a pair of older Thule fork mount carriers to fit square bars.

I'm asking £30 for the pair, they retail for about £50 each. At that price you could get 'em and see what you think.

Collect from Sheffield or Nottingham, or postage at your cost (about a tenner I would have thought).

e-mail in profile,

Cheers

Alex

i have both the frame mounted ones and fork mounted on the roof at the minute. had to buy one fork mounted as my new bike wouldn't allow a frame mount. they are both thule ones and are both excellent.

there's only one problem, well not problem more a design floor, and thats that i can't lock my bike on to the rack like the frame mounted ones because i have a 20mm axle, so it attaches via the maxxle, all safe and secure mounting wise but not locked on, just means i have to remember a lock if its going to be left anywhere, which to be honest it never is but could have done with it on the ferry a few weeks ago?!
