I've got one in my frame. A day out on W2 at afan was apparently enough to separate the radio transmitter from the plastic surround and now my frame rattles as a bit of plastic moves between the top of the BB and the bottle mounts in the seat tube. Can't get it out of the tubing via the BB and can't remove the spider from the seat tube (that bit is at least doing what it should).
You should be able to get a free one from 5-0. They've been giving them out at bike events in the SW.
Got one free with a marin ht that I bought a few years ago... you could get it out of frame by turning it upside down and shaking a little! Not a very useful device, I certainly wouldn't pay for one for any of the bikes I've got now.
Two datatags in my Nicolai. Held in with epoxy in the most awkward place I could (just) reach whilst the bike was being built up.
