Hi, im tempted to get these as they look normal for a bike shoe! has anyone tried them as with flat pedals rather than with clipless?

cheers

Yes mate. Had mine 18 months and still going strong. Not that water tight so you may need waterproof socks or over shoes when its cats and dogs. I find them more gripier than my 5/10 greg minaars on the pin/stud type flats, whereas the minaars are more grippy on the screw threaded type. After a muddy ride I power was them down, put them on the radiator and they come up like new when dry. Billy bargain at £40 from CRC.

yeah, that's triggered mt question to be honest. White 2011 £40 or £35 for black 2007's. #im not definitely sticking with flatties so these are a safe bet as i can convert back to spd's if need be.

Do you think they will be better than an average pair of skate shoes? the sole doesnt look like it will always dig into the pins too well. i use DMR V8's

As I said it depends what type of pins. Mine stick better to the none-threaded type than my 5/10's with the stealth sole which are supposed to be the gripiest shoe out there. Looks like the DMR V8's have a mix of pin types so they should stick really well. They are really solid shoes, much better than skate shoes.
