As title really, I'm thinking of getting either a garmin 510 or a Suunto ambit, i like the fact that I will get more use out of the ambit as i can wear it off the bike aswell but how do they compare as a training tool?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Can't vouch for the watch itself, but Bikewagon.com have a massive discount on the Ambit at the moment.

I have an ambit. I dont really use it for training as such, I just use it to determine distance travelled,max speed, height gained/lost, heartrate etc.
Seems pretty good to me.
