Why dont you use a tent then ?
Having a Bivi and then using a tarp is almost a tent.
There are some lightweight tents that will weigh about the same as the two of them.
i have made one and whilst it was enjoyable - in a making something for myself kind of a way - i am in no way inclined to do it for others (not selfish just it was a bit of a faff.)
I suggest finding a local shop that could do it. We have a local place that does tent repairs etc and they would happily take this on.
as would a sail maker or boatcover manufacturer.
you already have a design.

I think there are a couple of other companies too. But a quick look through my bookmarks hasn't found them. If you look for silnylon tarp or something similar they might pop up. Quite a few in America, if you're prepared to wait.

Best to contact them I think as they have all sorts at different times. And can knock up stuff to suit.
