That statement is not true

"You can't handle the truth!"

I've always wanted to say that.

This thread is now like watching really, REALLY, REALLY crap TV, late at night, when you're totally knackered.
You know you should give up watching and go to bed, but try as you might, you just can't do it.....

Musssst. Give. In.

You watch the world exploding every single night
Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light
Brothers and their fathers joining hands and to make a chain
The shadow of the Wicker Man is rising up again

Your time will come, your time will come
Your time will come, your time will come

Holy crap. What an absolute bunch of bullsh't. I had a similar experience with someone off here a few years back - same excuses. Is there a scammers guide to blagging money off online forums?

1. Claim family problems (check)
2. Claim to be out of the country (they'll forget all about it in the next week before 'you're back') (check)
3. Claim postal problems due to Royal Mail / Parcel Force / DHL in turn (check).
4. Repeat ad nauseum

IWH - do you have an incident number for the heavies visiting your mother? I'd like to add some details to it please.

He seems to have a fair old following over on BM and the users of STW don't seem to win many fans at all. Weirdly / ridiculously biased in IWH or "Mr Wilson's" favour.

It couldn't be any more clear cut could it? Money paid, reasonable amount of time passed, no goods, refund. Regardless of "personal" circumstances, these unfortunately are irrelevant issues for the affected buyers.

As already said - his address is available, small claims court.

It's a bit like watching that video of the rolling rally car the other day, but in slow motion, and the car is full of ostriches, and every time it rolls another ostrich comes flying out, and as each ostrich hits the ground it starts whooshing like a catherine wheel, and all the orange penguins who are watching the crash come running out with brooms and try and put the ostriches out by hitting them with their brooms, but the brooms just catch fire and the penguins panic and stat rolling around on the ground surrounded by exploding ostriches as the car rolls on and on spewing out ever more ostriches.

A bit like that anyway.

Lmao BD first class - that's exactly what I was thinking!

Dont turn this into a BM V's STW issue. Nothing of the sort. We just havent started with death threats yet because he is a trusted member (So far).

If you read it there are a few members who have said it really isnt on and needs clearing up asap.

"The man's a con man - wise up suckers"

As I mentioned before.. if that were the case why did he not take my £700 - would have been very very easy to do it.

Also not too common for scammers to give you their address, bank details, phone numbers, email, mobile number quite so freely and answer every call, text or email strsight away.

Is it?

It would have been the easiest thing in the world for him to have taken my money, don't you agree?

You better pray it doesn't turn into a BM v STW issue. If we wanted to turn it into a STW v BM issue you'd all be like, totally, dead. We know some seriously hard people who'll come round BM unless STW gets a paypal refund and a full apology immediatly. And don't go crying to the police. 👿 😉

Personally I think its pretty clear he's not a conman, if he is he's not very good at it.

I also think its pretty clear that he's an unreliable bull****r.

You got lucky with your dealings with him - other's weren't so lucky.

I hear where you are coming from, but if anything this makes the whole situation even more mystifying. If IWH/Big Dutch/[s]Keyser Söze[/s] is not scamming then what the hell is he playing at? Taking money from people, not sending goods, not refunding and throwing up smokescreen after smokescreen like a clapped out Ford Cortina.

The guy is an obvious crank, to those who think he's straight up:

Think he's got a 2.1 (maybe even a first) in the noble art of Bullsh*t

Good luck to anyone who's trying to get their hard earned cash back 🙂

Sounds like a cock, and alarmingly he sees himself as a victim. Its a reflection on his appalling behaviour that people have felt the need to collect money in person. Utterly shameful.

I like the bit about paying for accommodation, coaches etc. for the BM trip out of his own pocket. I wonder where he got the money from to do that. Just pay back what you owe everybody! End of.

I think that is an appalling veiled threat IWH, saying that 'some big men came round and the Police are involved'. Almost as though you are saying that to deter people from calling round? Seriously, just refund and its end of. If you have already spent the money, come to an agreement with the people owed money. No one is threatening you on this thread, alot of ribbing and forum-banter but if you dont have the money on you at the moment PLEASE email each person directly and ask to come to some sort of agreement, beit the goods, money or agree to installments/repayment.

My sentiments exactly - what's the problem with visiting his given address to recover the money - the supposed two guys who "turned up and threatened his mum" wouldn't have been involved if the agreement surrounding the transaction had been fulfilled.

Like i said earlier, there is a lot of support on BM surrounding past transactions and family issues - IRRELEVANT. He has chosen to write all that good reputation off by stringing folk along and ripping people off.

IWH - as a bit of proof that you aren't spinning a few tales here - post up the incident number from the police report you made

I'm sure it can be verified easily enough

The IWH trilogy.

First it was all angry
Then it got a bit sad and bittersweet
Now it's just ****in hilarious

And like all trilogies, it doesn't necessarily end there. Roll on page 8. How might this end? Surely not with a rally car full of burning catherine wheel ostriches mopped up by penguins. Or a scanned in police report. I'm with the 'spawn of Dave Hinde' ending.

The crowd's getting restless.

Wonder if he mentioned the fact he's ripped a few people off for a large sum of money when he was making his ... ahem ... "police Report" ...? 😈

Looks like he is getting a fair amount of flak over on BM too.

He must be feeling pretty crappy now and i kind of feel sorry for him. As others have said i doubt very much that he's a seasoned villain, I do suspect that he has overstretched himself either by taking people's money before he actually has the goods to sell or by selling the same item to more than one person and using buyers money as a float to buy more stuff to sell. Now its gone tits up and a number of people are clamouring about it he made the A+ classic mistake of bullshitting about the reasons behind it and blaiming others for the mess he is in.

Like others I suspect that the stuff about threatening emails and people showing up at his mum's house is nothing more than a smokescreen.

Time to fess up and pay people back.

If the reciept is photoshopped, if he goes into the "properties" of it, it should say this in the properties

"I think that is an appalling veiled threat IWH, saying that 'some big men came round and the Police are involved'"

I happen to know that this is true - IWH accidentally sent me a message about it (intended for someone else) when it happened...

Saying what? I am "accidentally" sending you this message intended for someone else to make my self inflicted predicament seem somehow that i am a victim?

Could they have been unrelated to this discussion here? Could they have been baliffs for debt recovery?

What did they say then? 'Hello we're from STW and we demand money now or the clematis gets roughed up?'

Sounds like although he does seem to have issues, he is the master of his own destiny with this sorry state of affairs.
