Yeah I am waiting for a spring from IWH.

Yesterday he texted me a valid tracking code for it - due to be delivered today. As I'm not home to receive it I should be able to collect it from the sorting office tomorrow.

I shall let ye know how it goes...

he's still probably got the goods lying about

RRR, according to that BM thread you've already sent money to IWH for a Ti spring that you know he doesn't have! Your sense of loyalty is touching but really you owe this guy nothing... and he still owes you some goods that he may or may not have, or £105.

In fact if you don't have anything by tomorrow I'd drop PK ripper an email and get yourself added to the lynch mob.

Surely if you sent it recorded you also had to fill out a separate slip of which you kept half which had the tracking number on. Recorded is just 1st class post but with tracking.

Nope I didn't... recorded just gives you a normal receipt but with the destination postcode and a barcode code on it (and a line under the postage cost saying "recorded"

I think special delivery is where you have another slip although I could be wrong..

Not any more, it's all done on a receipt now.

I used to work for Royal Mail and recoreded delivery is a joke and is no more tracebale than Osma Bin Laden!

It has to be special delivery to trace it fully.

I think what the guy said about him supplying the fake proff of posting was more to do with the address been verified. If you send things 1st or second class you dont have to verify the address when printing the proof of posting. Stadard parcels have to have verified address that matches the postcode. If they cant verify the address it has to be logged as not verified.

So it he ad a ist class proof of posting then why would the receipt state verified or not? I guess thats why the PO thought the proof of posting was dobbied up.

I don't know that he hasn't got it - he texted me from Sea Otter to ask me which one I wanted - seems a bit elaborate for a scammer, to me anyway.

And how long ago was he at Sea Otter? He seems to have been stringing people on here along for months with tales of personal misfortune, threats, fraud, burglaries and what have you.

Unless you actually have the spring in your hand, tomorrow, start taking action to recover your cash.

I think IWH is really Billy Bleach.
Right you give him a fiver, you give him three quid, you give him one fifty back and that's you square, here's your four quid, oi mate got fifty pence, you give him two fifty, there's your tenner that's you sorted etc etc.

Ah, fair enough, haven't lived in the uk for just over a year but used to fill out those orange slips all the time.

Do you reckon he paid import duty on the goods he bought in America? If he actually bought them that is. 😛

Can I clarify:

Has anyone had any correspondence with IWH/Lee since he stopped posting on here???

i.e. - has he 'gone to ground'?

But when I stick the code in the Royal Mail website it does say that it's being processed / on the way... due for delivery on 13th etc

"But when I stick the code in the Royal Mail website it does say that it's being processed / on the way... due for delivery on 13th etc"

Yep exactly what I had when I first bought my items mate, it can't be proven as they still havn't been activated yet and I don't think they ever will be but my guess is that he got 2 royal mail special delivery bags from the post office and took them home, then emailed me the tracking numbers and I got all excited but then threw the bags in the bin or shredded them.
So every time you check them on Royal Mails track and trace you get the message "sorry there is no information for this item please try later"
Is that what happens when you did it RRR?
If yes then welcome to my world, its not a happy one but the sun is out, I have my health and the bunnies are still playing in the woods 🙂

The crap thing about RMs Track & Trace is, it isn't

You can't track stuff until it's been delivered - what's the point in that? if it has been delivered I don't want to track the fekkin thing coz I've got it.

I always felt it was more worth it for me as a seller as I knew when the buyer had received it and they couldn't pull the 'I haven't received it trick', your right that it doesn't really help the buyer out much. In the days of the orange slips, the post office used to give me packs of them home so i could fill them out before i got to the post office, so i could have had a long list of tracking numbers at my disposal. Not sure if this is different now as it seems they don't use those slips anymore.

Some very dodgy behaviour from the (supposed) seller here.

Dreadful isn't it? If only they called it something like...oh, I don't know... Recorded Delivery... that way it would be clear to everyone that it was a service that provided a record of delivery.

Oh no, I've only gone and posted on this thread as well :-O

-m- it doesn't even provide proof of delivery when your postie just leaves your "Recorded Delivery" package hanging out of your letterbox when you're away for the weekend and any passing scally could wander off with your goods. According to the tracking system the package that I found sticking out of the door on Sunday night is still in transit to me. I thought they were meant to stick a card through your door and take it back to the post office, or do they just do that when they can't be arsed to even bother knocking on the door?

... and I'm on the thread!

They take it back to the depot for me unless we leave a note telling them not to.

I know it sounds vigilante but I would be driving down to Plymouth if I was out of pocket by a significant amount. I very nearly did when a certain forum member dissappeared with my wheels and my cash! It took a stern phone call to his home number (which I *ahem* found) to sort things out.

I realise. I feel so frustrated for everybody involved. I've always felt that this community could be trusted (I was here pre-hack) and have always bought and sold with confidence.

There needs to be some sort of qualification before you can sell. Wether this is a certain number of posts or time frame (where you actively post)to qualify yourself I don't know, but I would certainly welcome something for the protection of buyers and sellers.

Maybe somebody uses another forum where they have a feeback system or some other system that works.
