Had an expensive crash recently:
Have tried a couple of places that repair car GPS units with no luck; they can't get the parts from Garmin.
Am thinking that if I can get hold of the correct LCD panel, assuming it's a fairly standard unit, I could approach someone in a phone repair place to have a go. Other functions still work fine as far as I can tell.
Anyone got any bright ideas?
Return it to Garmin??
garmin
they're pretty good by all accounts...
Garmin are excellent. You may even find that they will not repair it and give you a new one with a 12 month warranty
Cheers didn't think of that
Cheers - as you suggested neilb, they don't repair screens, so even though it's out of warranty, they will be replacing with a new one (with warranty) for £100. Which is pretty good really. 😀
