youth hostel in edale is good - and does breakfast, so it's a sort of B & B
bit of a hike to the pub though

We've just used thorndene b&b near hope. Don't know if it's cheap, but it was nice and well set up for bikes.

How about the YHA at Losehill Hall? Like Edale they do rooms and breakfast.
Walkable to the pubs in Castelton. A short roll to 18Bikes for emergency shiny purchases. Loads of riding options from the door.
