Hi folks,

Am setting off on a mini gravel tour on Friday, heading from the Central Belt up to Aviemore.

Have a 'local' day planned on Sunday taking in the Burma Road loop and the Sluggan Pass.

Just wondered if anyone was free and fancied a relatively* social gravel spin?

*I say relatively as I'd quite like to adopt a 'zero stops' approach to the Burma Road climb, not saying it'll be quick though...

Definitely interested - keep me posted as it's on my 'to do' list whilst I'm staying in the area

I'm heading off in the van  a few days so won't be around.

There's a nicer route between Là Taverna and the foot of the Burma Road. I'll post it up later.

Thanks Scotroutes, interested to see that.

Dovebiker, so far plans are simply to amble down the road to La Taverna for approx 10:30am. I'm relatively open to changing that to suit others so long as I get a lie in and time to digest a big greasy 9am fry up!

Scotroutes, does your nicer route go under the A9 at Lag na Caillich and then run parallel to the A9 until hitting the Lynwilg footbridge?

Dovebiker, plans have already been shifted back an hour, I can't get my breakfast until 10am! 😀

La Taverna for 11:30am...

No problem - gives me a chance to get the dog walk in etc.

Got it. I stuck it on OSM.

Under the A9, turn up left, then right onto the hard shoulder. There's a bit of worn singletrack. Look for a wee gap in the fence and over a wooden plank or two. All pretty obvious once you're there.

Dammit, wife has an all day course in Inverness so I'll have my boys otherwise I'd have been up for this.
