If so what's the max tyre clearance?
Will I be ok sticking a 2.25 Nobby Nic or Ralph out back?
I've got a 2009 xtc and it takes a 2.25 nobster. There is clearance but not for really muddy conditions

Think its a little more now. Do you use yours on the trails or is it a race bike?
Trails. I've only had it this summer so it's not really been tested in the wet. It's actually an xtc alliance so my gut reaction would be the clearance is less than a normal xtc. I really like the look of the new xtcs mind
Nip into a dealer and take a look maybe?
Just picked up a 2011 XTC 3 for an absolute bargain price. Gonna switch the 2.10 Tyres for a 2.25 Nobby Nic and a 2.25 Ralph out back.
Carbon seat post and I'll be ready to roll.
