Anyone ever MTB Townsville or Far North Queensland area?
ROCKWHEELERS.COM.AU Yeah, me! In fact that is where I first got into mtb. Went riding in Cape Tribulation in far north Q'land. Hired a bike out there and went off with a guide and another girl for a few days. It was fantastic. Hadn't done any real riding before that so it seemed great to me then but not sure how it would compare now but I think there's plenty of good stuff out there. You get to ride across beaches too. Not the most exciting riding but, I dunno, something about it. I seem to remember it was pretty cheap and was easy to arrange.
I remember riding in shorts and a vest top too and cooling down in streams... seems a far cry from my ride today in the rain 🙂

From those I know that have/do - good fun; tropical jungle, quite rocky.
