[Closed] Anyone ever had issues fitting vees on the bosses ?

Just managed to break an Avid Ti vee brake whilst trying to fit it to my Roadrat. I'd like to think I'm a good mechanic but every brake I tried on the bosses was a struggle. Managed to get the front done but had a disaster on the rear. The "pin" didn't line up in the hole on the frame but like a dick I tried forcing it by tightening the capscrew. As a result the casting with the pin has cracked rendering it unusable. Looks to me like there's a manufacturing defect on all the brake mounts but is this viable ? BTW, I also tried the brakes earlier on a crappy Jamis frame I'm building for the Mrs and they slid on, no hssle...
