Changed the rear inner on my rear mech earlier after fixing (and cleaning) the snapped chain with a Powerlink. Should have been a dead simple job but it's just not happening.
It's a full length outer with a newish SLX mech and a straight hanger. Tweaked the end stops so they seem ok but just can't seem to get the shifts up or down very smooth no matter how much I adjust the barrel at the shifter. On top of that it seems my bike has fallen foul of some strange in-garage shenanagins as since I last had it out I now have a puncture, a stiff-shifting front mech and 2 binding brakes!
Admittedly the back has been like it for a while and I've pushed the slightly sticking piston back in but think I need to sort it out properly once and for all - anyone bled XT (2008) before? Do they need a full bleed as they generally feel and work fine - just have one piston that doesn't fully retract.
Left the bike with a different set of problems than when I went to fix it a bit pissed off and doubtful of making Weds night ride - bugger ๐Ÿ˜•

I can have a look for you - can talk you through the fix as well if required?

Hi Mike

That would be good...a demo would be useful - never had such an issue tuning gears before.
Could pop over with a few alcoholic beverages one night perhaps? Cheers

Aye, no worries. Drop me an email and we'll sort something.
