Got some 661 Kyle Strait knee pads, not properly washed em since new about 4/5 months ago, anybody put theirs in the washing machine with their regular kit? Did they come out ok? There are no care instrutions in them at all?
i rarely remember to wash mine 🙂 i just chuck them in the magic basket and they usually appear the next day by the front door.
Washed my 661 evos a few times in standard wash and they're fine.
Frequently washed Raceface Rally and Dig, Dainese, 661 KS, all at 40 degrees normal wash. No problems.
Wash them you dirty bugger, they will be fine.
I bunged mine in for the first time last week with 2 years worth of dirt on them and they came out looking like new. 🙂
yup you can wash them. you can even put them on a 60 degree wash when they're really minging.
If they can take rain, mud and bashing off hard pointy stuff then I reckon they can handle a washing machine. Mine have survived, I´ve got one of them magic baskets jedi mentioned.
hey sunnrider & jedi - where you get them baskets from? 😉
Washed mine every time worn for last two years. They did get bobbles on the inside so I shaved these off with a razor so that they don't rub my knees. Still going strong.
My 661's are in the machine right now.
I washed my Kali Aazis pads last week and they were fine. Just remember to do up any velcro straps.
Yep, i have the same ones. Shove them in they'll be fine.
Cheers for the fast response guys, in time for them to go in with the rest of todays kit! 8)
I use handwash detergent with mine... not as intense as regular washing powder.. works a treat mate
mine are in the washer as we speak
Every two rides, or they stink
Never washed? Ewwww!
I used to wait til they started sandpapering all the skin off my knees. Realised that was a bit like deciding you need to go to the toilet because your feet are getting wet, so started washing them basically whenever they look like they could do with a wash.
