A few of us are thinking of a quick loop of Cannock on xmas day, will we be the only ones there, or is there likely to be a few saddos getting away for some fun?

Awww typical - I am usually out early doors on Xmas morning to see who else is out and about - but this year I have the pleasure of dinner with the in-laws 🤯

I intend to be, working pretty much every other day until Jan 1st so I gotta take it when I can get it.

Yet to broach subject with family however. Might just be 1.5hrs on road bike like last year.

Yep, while the Mrs goes to church with her mum. Might be on or off road, might be a run - depends on weather and conditions.

I'm working till 3, Mrs going to visit her family for the week so if the weather is good I'll manage a spin somewhere.
If the weather's really good it might be on skis

Yes, no kids and the being out of the UK away from family makes Christmas very un-christmassy for me so will probably pop out for a quick 3-4 hour session.

Hopefully, depending upon weather, as Xmas Day is less structured this year than usual... Although I did manage a cheeky hour mid morning frankenbike ~1700 feet hill rep session last year.

I have the 25th to myself so might ride. Or may sit at home and eat my own body weight in roast dinner.

Always go out for a spin in the morning, QECP for an hour or so after walking the dogs. Helps to break up the eating & drinking marathon that Christmas at the in-laws is.

Missus is working in the morning and I'm on Xmas dinner duty so it'll depend on how organised I am. A cheeky wee run might be easier to fit in.

I'm being dragged up to the in-laws in the afternoon so I'm planning a quick ride first thing.

Yep, best day to go cycling. I start around 8am and other than 1 or 2 people walking dogs I don't see anyone. Roads are empty so usually go for a road ride. Fairly similar on Boxing Day and New Years day.

Trying to ride every day in December, simple 10-11 mile bridle path route, to try and get some kind of fitness back.

From January to end of November, I'd only ridden 117 miles in total through one reason or another just haven't been getting out... pretty much the same as last year also.

Been enjoying my "fake" type commute, 170 miles done in December as of yesterday, not a lot compared to some of you on here, but quite a step up in my mileage.

Looking forward to nipping out Christmas morning before the onslaught of food and booze.

Not on the bike no, but as my best mate's wife is working all day and he's got to work too (manages a dairy farm), I'm planning on going to milk the cows with him in the afternoon. Could bike there and back, maybe............

Absolutely no chance. I do a thing called the 100 Day Challenge in the run up to Christmas - a minimum of 1/2 an hour of exercise a day for the 100 days up to Christmas. It started on 16th September and I am desperate for it to end. I will be spending Christmas Day having a jolly nice time with my family and moving my legs as little as possible.

I had planned to do nothing between Christmas and New Year, my goal for the year was 3,000 miles and as of this morning I only had 39 miles left to do. Then I had a quick look through my Strava rides and a rogue ride of someone else's had snuck into my profile - a fifty miler that I now have to make up for! Gah!

We have the normal family cycle around Caesars Camp after the turkey has gone in. Recently upgraded to antler wearing to make it more 'Christmassy' or you can have the cow bell strapped to your bike! On return the drinking can start!

Always train on Christmas Day. We are off to friends 100 km away. It would be a shame not to...

Maybe - I certainly plan to get out and do something, though was kind of hoping I might be able to meet up with some other people and choice of activity depends somewhat on what other saddos I can find who are on their own for Christmas like me! I'm in Worcester just in case there is anybody around here or Malvern who fancies a ride.
