Has anybody fitted and used their new pedals yet? Interested in the different cleat options; is there a discernible difference between the 4* or 5* cleats supplied?
Be interested to know as well. Quite fancy the trail ones, but struggling to find a way to justify moving from Nukeproof Horizon CS which have been great, and are also re-buildable.
For anybody interested, I had two rides on the four* cleats with Union Trail pedals but found I was unclipping more than I’d have liked. Twice tightened the cleat tension to no avail. Swapped to the five* cleats and they’re perfect for me now, probably on par with how my old Shimano XT trails felt. I like a fairly stiff clip with tension, about half way through the clicks, so if you prefer a ‘softer’ feel you may be okay with the four* cleats.
