im not obese but i would still like to loose some ecsess fat anyone got any ideas (soz about spelling im not that good)
Eat less. Exercise more.
simple
get two paper rounds & don't eat any pies 😀
Start running
Basic rules:
Burn more calories than you eat (obviously)
Cut out alcohol (especially beer) - this made a huge difference to me.
Cut out fizzy drinks.
Make small changes to your diet over time that you can stustain.
Eat 6 small meals a day as oppossed to 3 large (stops snaking)
ie, 0700 - cerial
1000 - couple pieces of fruit
1230 - tuna pasta
1500 - more fruit/cerial bar
1800 - eavening meal
2000 - raisins/nuts
Remember that loosing weight doesn't happen over night, set realistic weekly/monthly goals.
thanks icarusgreen
And i forgot to add - treat yourself once or twice a week - the wife and I have takeaway/resteraunt night on a friday and a good fry up breakfast on a sunday.
Combine what icarus green said with a weights routine 3 times a week and you've got a good recipe for success.
Paul Mckenna one works for me... basically you just eat what you want when you want but eat it slowly and stop when your full. Lost nearly 2 stone since xmas.
General sensible eating is worth a try if you're not already, like don't snack on things other than fruit or yogurt, and don't eat too many sugary or pastry things, and exercise lots. I think pasta is one of the more fattening carbohydrate groups,so eat brown rice or potatos instead for tea,and have the odd treat here and there.
Reading a lot could help with the spelling by the way,it can help you pick things up.
If you still want to get drunk sometimes, drink spirits instead of beer. 🙂
My 2-cents would be to start going to Spin classes three times a week - I guarantee if you stick to it for just a couple of weeks you'll see results.
But it's really important to be able to sustain whatever you start doing, as most diets will make you lose weight bus as soon as you stop it will go straight back on.
Aren't you taka's little brother and only 13? If so I would worry to much about it at this stage. Just do more exercise and eat less rubbish.
What the $6m dollar man up there said - start running
Carry on eating what you want just make sure you run every other day - build up to about an hour per run
Breakfast: Cornflakes
Lunch : Cornflakes
Dinner : Normal meal
Drop a dress size in 2 weeks.
It works..
Hypnotist. I've lost 17lbs since Jan 7th. All i've done is stop eating when i'm full, eat slowly and cut out the crap. If you're like i was i'd snack too much, carrying on eating when i was full etc, etc. I've always eaten fairly healthy food but just too much of it.
The hypnotist has been a saviour to me, not sure it works as well for all people. Not had a ciggie for 13 months after a visit to him either. Was on 20 a day, and about a quart a month before ;-). Worth a try??
Option 1: just ride a lot more - build up to 8 hours + per week and weight should drop off if eating normally (no special diet). As others have said, running 3 x per week also helps.
Option 2:
Only eat carbs in the morning. You won't be able to race without a lot of carbs but if you're not racing then it will help you to lose weight faster. Just cutting out carbs at night will go a long way to losing weight quickly. Eat plenty of protein, never eat any sugar (even in the morning) and only eat complex carbs such as oats at breakfast. Also eat oily fish and olive oil even though they are high in fat, it helps.
My killer high-protein pancake recipe: 2 eggs, some milk, 2 x scoops vanilla protein powder, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup yoghurt, 1 tsp baking powder. Mix everything with blender. Heat flat pan to medium heat with a little olive oil. Pour each pancake onto the pan (about 2 tbsp of the batter to make each pancake). Add some blueberries on top (I cut each berry in half). When bubbles form on the pancake, turn it over and cook the other side. Voila... Gordon Ramsay kiss my ass.
You are too young to go on a diet i.m.o.
Just eat healthily, with a little bit of what you fancy thrown in ( maybe a creme agg) and just as much exercise that you feel up to.
Recommended is one hours exercise a day, it has to be something though that gets the heart rate up.
If you are worried visit the doctor.
