It’s about time I get myself a proper tool box. I like the idea of a chest on wheels so it can double up as a worktop or maybe fit a smaller chest on top.

Has anyone seen any bargains or bought anything recently that they would recommend?

Is Halfords Advanced stuff still as good as people used to say? That 6 drawer cabinet looks ideal

My Halfords cabinets are 5 years old and they look brand new. I don't exactly beat them up but they're solid.

If you go for anything from Halfords, note that their Black Friday offers end this Thursday, Nov 30.

Plus you get 10% off! So under 300 quid

I got one of the big beasts on a deal last year.

When my uncle died, he left me a full set of snap on tools in its roll cage and chest, I've used the thing most days..its awesome but I think a little pricey if bought new

That's a hell of an heirloom - probably £10k+ worth - Snap On is the equivalent of a drug habit for a lot of mechanics.

I've got the Halfords roll cab and tool box combo I picked up locally 2nd hand and they're ok.  Nothing special but they work fine.  The guy I bought them off was a garage owner and also had the Snap On equivalent and said they were night and day in terms of quality but for the price, it's hard to beat the Halfords stuff (when on offer at least)

I have the black Halfords drawers. Good stuff.

SGS have/had some stainless drawers in their Black Friday sale which looked nice.
