Driving down to Stobbo today the Pentlands ridge was dusted in snow...and the Hills to the East of Stobbo (south of Peebles) where pretty white...in November!, expected pics on here tonight...
anyone get in some snow biking?
No but had to cut my Granites ride short as there was so much ICE not good on skinny tyres 🙁
Dusting of snow on tops of the hills
Was pretty white at the top of GT black today with a fairly light dusting of snow, quite a bit of ice on the trails too.
I got snowed on yesterday afternoon out in West Lothian, near Tarbrax, on road bike. Wet splatty snow but still (just) snow rather than sleet. Would have taken pics but I'd been out in pissing rain for 2 hours and fixed one puncture so hands were so cold I could barely work the gears - flying a camera would have been out of the question!
Ochils had a good dusting today but from what I could see the NW side of the Pentlands weren't at all white.

Had a quick nip round Maidens just before dark, fairly white on the scald law / west kip right enough. None on Allermuir though, oddly. No pics though, too cold to stop!

I thought I was seeing things when I spotted the snow on the pentlands today... As much as I love snow, I could live without it for another month!

By all accounts more snow forecast for the Edinburgh area by midweek. Might head out with the camera and capture some scenic Pentlands Images. As much as I hated the stuff Xmas to early March last year It does make things look really bonny.
