Thinking of applying to be a Sky ride leader, is it worth doing?

Any pitfalls?

Ta.

I recently finished the training to be an assistant ride leader (you need a current first aid certificate to be a full ride leader). Not helped out on any rides yet, but my impression is pretty positive.

I came away from the training feeling a lot more confident about leading rides in traffic. I guess one obvious downside is the time commitment required (you have to sign up to a certain number of rides. There's also the slighty daunting prospect of leading a ride made up of members of the public, rather than well behaved fellow volunteers!

Thanks, useful to know about the first aid requirement. Having been a first aider in my workplace in the past, I don’t really want to go down that route again.
