Bit of a random (and probably stupid) question.
I assume any rotors can be used with any brakes? I'm waiting on receiving some SLX brakes but want bigger rotors that they're coming with so was planning on replacing them with 203 and 183mm Hope Sawtooth rotors. Just wanted to check that they'll run fine with Shimano brakes? Obviously I'll need new adaptors.

Pretty much yes but just ensure that the pads don't protrude past the outer edge of the rotor.

Hope floating rotors can be a hassle because of the rivets... Mine don't work well with my Oros frinstance, though they were perfect with my XTs.
