[#4179202]

Just moved down from t'north and looking for people to ride with in the Aylesbury area. Have bike, will travel etc.

Haven't done much around here other than a quick blast down some bridlepaths.

Apparently there's a club but I don't think it runs anymore, as my emails asking if the MTB side still meet up have gone unanswered.

These guys ride often, including a mid-week night ride:

Sorry, but I've just moved t'north, otherwise would have taken you out.

Buy the OS 1:25000 maps and get exploring - loads of rides Ashridge/Wendover/PR and all the way down to the Thames.

Many others around on here, just bump later for the evening folk.

Woburn Sands has lots of XC singletrack. Think there is a club there as well - google should do the trick!

Good luck!

I'm a part of the evening crowd and I live close to Aylesbury in Wendover which is a stone's throw away from Aston Hill. I'm also very close to Coombe Hill and Wendover Woods which are great for riding.
I'm up Aston Hill tomorrow with my Big Bike but I'd be up for some more XC type stuff another weekend.
The hills are smaller round here compared to "beyond the wall" but it's a beautiful area to ride around.

Reservoir Goats is the name of the club and some of the "goats" will be up Aston Hill with me tomorrow.

Also try Bucksmtb - www.bucksmtb.co.uk. There is an open group ride on 29th July starting from Coombe Hill. They are a good bunch. Very inclusive. Some are in the Dales this weekend. Not me alas.

Hi
I live near Tring so ride all round the areas mentioned above, Wendover, Risborough, Ashridge, Dunstable etc etc.
I work shifts so am around during the week rather than only ever weekends. Be happy to show you around sometime.
I'd also recommend the BucksMTB club, a very nice bunch of folks, they have a regular Wednesday evening ride from near Coombe Hill and various other things going on.
Bfn
