I moved to just outside of Llandrindod Wells a few weeks ago.
Just about got the house straight enough now, so time to get back on the bike.
Any MTB or road riders in the area? Any good clubs? Any triathletes from around here?
Builth wells has a lot going on for road and Mtb. I grew up there and know a few different groups that ride week nights. The local shop is the best place to start.

I find the road biking in that area amazing. That Powys tarmac is soooo smooth!
Slightly south there are the Brecon Barbarians.
I live not far from Llandrindod, great area for mtb, elan valley just up the road, Llanwrtyd Wells 30 mins by car with great natural riding in the irfon forest, llyn brianne, Doethie valley.
Also a great central base for trail centres
We're not too far away either - in Hay on Wye. Local club, based around the shop, runs road rides on Tue evenings and Sunday mornings, MTB rides on Wed evenings, and will be doing some indoor turbo sessions shortly too.
