I suspect plastic flavoured water is unhealthy, so ive stopped using my camelbak and use a hard bottle. I would prefer a backpack if a non plastic flavoured version is available, anyone know of one?

My Hydrapak bladder doesn't seem to taste of anything. Cheap compared to buying a whole new pack too.

I suspect you're over thinking it.

That said, the Source bladders are easily the best I've used for not flavouring the liquid.

When new I think this is true but after a few uses and if kept in the freezer and never washed out with anything 'tasty' they loose that plaggy taste IME

Mine does. How old is yours? Mine is about 5 years old. You only notice at the end of the bag. Then its unmissable.

Clean it with Milton, you'll soon miss the taste of plastic.

Mines at least 5 years old, I think near 7.

At that age I'd replace it with another camelbak to be honest.

I've taken to dropping a High5 tablet into my Hydrapak as it always tastes a bit plastic (not a problem with my Osprey bladder though).
