Off course Dirtlej is amazing...but at 200£ is way out of my budget.
any options out there?

For quality and price you can’t beat army surplus. MTP goretex stuff is great quality and you can pick up trousers and jacket for £20-30 total. The only problem is when you wear the full suit you have to resist the urge to dig holes in the woods!😀

Dirtlej do the lightweight version for just over a £100, not sure how swea ty it is though.

Navy or RAF (i.e. blue not camo) Goretex trousers cut down £15. Look for "MVP trousers" and size carefully, obvs leg length doesn't matter if you are cutting them.

Your choice of Jacket (I have an old shape £60 Keela Saxon with a good hood that goes over helmet but baggy arms).

I'd only be wearing both if its really bad. nice to be able to take the jacket off.
