[#1393124]

My Anthem X has 100mm stem transplanted to it from a Boardman. Now I am only 5' 4" and the bike 14.5" so XS but still feel like the stem is just too long.

Been thinking of a new stem and am ready to get one of the new shiny Syncros FL but at 60£ I'd rather not chance it. Was thinking of a 70mm but I gather that might be too radical a change so lets gather some intel:
Stem length
Your height
Your Anthem's Size

Try buying cheaper (consequently heavier) stems first, then once you've got the right length get something decent.

I bought one of these (90mm), after trying 80mm and 100mm.

Also its not really about height, more body/arm size/length.

70mm
6'3"
Large

Might try a longer one. Although i suspect poor technique and fitness is what holds me back on climbs.

BR I am sure you are right! But trying to measure myself in Apex index to figure out how much longer my arms are than me does not appeal to me :p lol. I guess I will have to try the buy a cheaper one to see how it feels though.

SLW poor technique and fitness apply to me too :p
