All this talk of the new on-one frame has me looking at my old frame slightly differently.

So is the new 456 summer season the best hardtail frame for under £200? Im really interested in getting a steel frame and knowing steel rusts(im clever me)i was thinking how different/more annoying it is to look after a steel frame.

Any advice much appreciated

ps. no i cant afford a cotic 🙂

It's really no different to looking after any other frame.

Just don't leave it outside in the rain or store it anywhere damp.

no different, as mike said.

i've seen more snapped alu frames than steel.(could be because of the greater popularity of alu).

I've had mine for a few years now and not had any rust problems. Kept it caked in mud and shite without a problem. Just like any other alu frame.

Before use you can coat the insides with a rust-proofing lube - not sure its name, as I got it from a mate.

But yes, I've rust on the outside - just needs a touch-up.

Get the standard 456.
