selling my 3 and a bit month old sovereign frame but not really getting any interest so far. Im asking 375 ONO as it cost me 600 in january. do you think thats too high? I always find pricing 2nd hand stuff hard but usually go too cheap, perhaps Ive gone the other way now?!

I wonder if you're just struggling because it's a large one.

I got the slight impression from your ad that it was too big for you at 5'11", so your target market is pretty tall people, who are relatively scarce.

Oh, and I know "chipped to buggery" isn't exactly what that chainstay is, but I'd still demote that picture a bit in the advert. 😉

I would not say your going to far wrong as people are trying to flog older cotic frames for a similar figure and they are cheaper to start with. I would hold out for a bit, get ads on all the forums then perhaps ebay it or drop the price in around a month.

Sorry to say it but to sell it you will have to offer it at 50% of RRP. As an indication Mk1 frames go for £250-£300 and they originally sold for £849 😯

cheers all, looks like i need to revise my ad a little, its not too big for me at all, i always run a 50mm stem on anything but an xc bike. ill move the 'damage' shot further down and think about drpping the price a little!

I'd say that it is worth near what your asking given the bits you're inlcuding but it is a pretty specialist frame.

A lot of people will opt for a smaller one to make it more chuckable and all that, plus the new BFe and Alpine are the same kind of price as you're asking but are new. They may not be a highly spec'd but are new and shiny and fit in with the cuirrent clique view.

Your buyer will either be someone who wants a larger hardcore hardtail in which case you'll need to drop the price or they'll be looking specifically for a Sovereign which costs £600 new and £375 is a fair (if not cheap) price

Maybe it's just a waiting game - these frames are a little cultish no?

i think ive overstated the size thing somewhat, it fits me great and i wouldnt want it any smaller. i run a 50mm stem through choice rather than necessity and tried a medium out but found it a bit short with a short stem and inline seatpost fitted. perhaps i need to make this clear in my ad!

I find the ads on here a little odd sometimes. Some stuff goes really quickly and other stuff which should be fairly attractive sits around for a while. It is all about the right person at the right time with money in their pocket.
