Converting 12x135 to 12x142 using [url=

video.[/url] Mavic SL's 29er.
I know it has a dob of thread lock on it, but I'm about to bring out the longer spanners and the force required seems excessive. The wheels are brand new and I will cry if I mess this up. Extremely tempted to put down the wheels and try again tomorrow, **** up time is imminent. Any advice from someone who has done this?

Disk side spacer off and adjustable cap loosened one turn, just like video says. But can I loosen the drive side cap? Hell no.

I will sleep on this and break out bigger spanners tomorrow.
I suspect the short ones cannot break the thread lock.

Could try some boiling water to soften the thread lock.

I would say to stop for tonight and have a fresh look tomorrow. As you say it could be the time you are home to Mr Cockup if you carry on.
