I moved to Alton about a year ago and having rediscovered my love of two wheels need to find somewhere locally where I can ride to from my front door. I'm looking for downhill/technical.
Any clues to good places appreciated.

Well, Chawton Park Wood has been used for XC races and there is also Bushey Leaze Wood. Not downhill though, but I could be wrong. The tracks around Selbourne are a challenge in this weather due to being chalky. Otherwise you will need to head over towards Rogate for downhill.
Many of the rights of way in the Alton area are well used by mx'ers so do get trashed.
