Im about to service my dropper post. One article I found says use Lithium grease but I dont the stuff, anyone have any ideas what I can use instead?

£2.95 for 400grm from Toolstation it'll last you for ever.
Don't be a skinflint, I suppose you could use Flora if you wanted and save a couple of pence, but don't come back here whining when your seatpost no longer drops. 😆

They suggest lithium grease probably because it sticks well to metals and is generally non-corrosive

The reason I dont use it is beacause over the years I have had to deal with too many siezed seat posts. Nothing about being a skinflint, cheeky ****er 😉 !! I always use coppaslip but thats not ideal for this situation. Slick honey is a good shout, cheers all!
