any tips for cheap bed ?
If you are driving down, we stayed in Villard Reculas, then drove the 15 mins into Alpe D'Huez every morning. 20€ Pppn in a chalet with incredible views and a [s]sexpond[/s] hot tub. Trails from the doorstep too. I forget the name but Google should help
up the top for us, shared a chalet between 4.
Hotel room in the big blocks up by the top lift also seemed popular.
Can get a shuttle and lift back up at the end of the day.
Getting away from alpe was not a problem at the end too.
