[#2121690]

Looking for a new set of wheels and wondering what my options are, something light weight and can take a 2.5 tyre ideally. Like the look of nuke proof generators, but also considering just a new pair of rims as I'm currently running pro 2's thought I could maybe build some stans rims up but which are best? Would like White too I think, although I do love the yellow nuke proofs
Cheers Mat

I bought some Roco wheels off here a while ago, great for 2.4" adVantages.

Keep the hubs + build with white Stans Flow rims. Well proven rims. Run them on my xc bike for over a year + also been hammering a pair on my DH bike with no problems.

Traversees are a good light allountain wheel. Some people reckon they're a bit springy, but they stand up to abuse. Flows on your current hubs is a good option though.

Flows on Pro2's from me too...

Though I'd sell your current wheels as they are, dunno what the rims are but someone's gonna pay you £150 probably...

Buy some new Pro2's on Flows off t'internet for about £250... The extra £100 is cheaper than a pair of Flow rims on their own, you also save the cost of the wheelbuild, and you get some brand spanking new hubs too!

I don't know what they are but... lightish, wide, black, convertable between QR and 20mm. Ad they were cheap too.

Still quietly impressed by my Hope Hoops with Flows on... reasonable weight, and I've no idea how strong they are because nothing I do makes the slightest impact on them. Definately stronger than my Traversees though, but then they're also quite a bit heavier (and quite a bit cheaper!)

you can't get "Hope Hoops" (Hope factory built wheels) with white Flow rims

the only choice is black hubs and black rims, Hope do this to keep their costs down by standardizing their builds

if you can live without white rims, you will save a lot of money buying Hope Hoops, compared to having a local bike shop build a set of white ZTR Flow rims onto Pro II hubs

Try http://www.moonglu.com/shop/hope-hoops-pro-2-on-white-stans-flow-rims/
Got my Pro 11 and flow rims from them and very happy just have to pay a little bit more for the white rims I got BLack Rims and Red hubs for 265 the other month but looks like they have gone up in price I believe they are hand built but you still get all the other bits you get if you buy them hope hoops ( 20mm conveters and spare spokes)

+1 for Hope Pro2 and Flow rims. Simply unbeatable for value but be careful if using with a rear Maxle as the Pro2 axle will almost certainly fail.

Hope Tech shops can provide Pro II Hoops with white Flow rims. We (18 BIkes) have a pair in at the moment.
