Hey, i have recently got back into mountainbiking and i was wondering what style of riding is most suitable for my bike. More specifically, would a hardtail with a 120mm travel front fork, sram x4/x3 hardware and knobby tyres be suitable for all-mountain riding? I am curious as i have some experience trail riding and i am interested in riding more on the all-mountain side of things. Any advice is much appreciated.

you should do whatever you find fun IMO. No-one is seriously going to say you cant - it's not all about the bike. Give it a go, it sounds ok for a start up bike - much the same as my previous bike which I did all mountain/xc stuff on

Just ride what you want to ride. It's only the wrong bike if it breaks.

Go for it.

I think I'm behind on the marketingspeak, aren't AM and 'trail' the same thing?

In which case OP, as they say above, you're good, just go ride your bike.

Apologies if you're serious. ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you mean by all-mountain? Your bike will be fine for almost any riding apart from really silly stuff.

I think the marketing execs and mag writers would say no. Who cares tho.
