[Closed] Alfine Di2 Issues

Hi, I've got an Alfine 8 speed Di2 on my Genesis Day One and the rear wire to the motor was a pretty bad connection and didn't seat properly so I decided to replace it with a good one from my spares. Now it doesn't seem to register the connection when the motor until is plugged in and pressing the gear change paddles does nothing. If I disconnect and reconnect the battery it wakes up the display, but the display no longer shows a gear indication and nothing seems to be possible with the lever. Refitting the old wire doesn't change anything either. Any thoughts/experiences would be much appreciated.
