I've seen some Alex sx44 rims laced to slx hubs. Does anyone know anything about these rims or had experience with them?
Cheers in advance for any advice given.
My Ghost AMR came with a set of these rims on xt hubs. They're designed for trail and all mountain riding, seem pretty strong but are quite heavy, will take tyres up to 2.3 easily.
Pretty sure they're discontinued now though.
I've seen them on eBay hardly used if they go for right price I'm considering them for my new build.
Ive got them on my Blue Pig, Although Im no DH racer, I do ride rocky rooty terrain quite 3 times a week. Ive not had any problems with them, and they are still true.
Alot of good AM bikes came specced with them on a year or 2 ago, Lapierres, even one of the Mojos had them. I believe that even though they are not a major deal over here, in Canada they do quite good business.
For a 'budget' rim, they are fantastic.
