Just wondering if anyone has experience of putting Alex MD19 rims tubeless. If so what tape.
There is little information on their site regarding it and I've found some older posts on other forums but it's not really coming to much of a conclusion.
Yep.... Run them on commuter. Apparently they are tubeless comoatable but found most my tyres (xr1, ikons, crossmark, minion TL all tried) were very loose on the rim. Cut tube ghetto rim strip worked a treat. In theory stans yellow or gaffa tape should be all you need but as I said I struggled with loose tyres so needed to pack rim diameter out a bit. Probably could have done the same with an extra couple of wraps of tape.
Trial and error I am affraid. Try a couple wraps of stans / gaffa / duct tape and if no worky...try the split tube method (Google it).
Good luck
Sounds Good. What do you mean by Ghetto Rim Strip?

Or you can use a good 2 to 5 wraps of tape... Trick is to pack the dip in the rim out to reduce clearance between rim and tyre bead.
There is also the rim bead tyre trick... One of the best things I have learnt tubeless and not had a tyre / rim combo fail to seat tubeless since learning this trick (my 5 bikes all set up tubeless with non tubeless rims and a mix of TR and non tubeless tyres)
