My shock is just a little stickier than it used to be. Enough to just pop the air can off following the instructions?
It's a 2013 Monarch RL, is it easy or a pig?
I did a fox rp32 for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a doddle.
The only tricky bit is if your shock hardware has to be removed to get the can off in order for you to clean the seals.
Bit of a clean, bit of new oil and some slick honey on the seals does make a noticeable difference and only take a few mins.
I did my brother's monarch air can a few weeks ago and it was very easy, just look for a video online to guide you and remember to let all the air out before fiddling!
With the monarch check the seal between the can and main shock body ( large diameter one) is seated properly & doesn’t roll when screwing the van back on.
I’d also put a tiny bit of thread lock on the threads, as have seen a few come loose ( yes, weird I know! As no rotational force on them but still did it?!)
Aside of that as above and a dob of maxima or similar oil for lubrication. Anodising on the body tubes used to be patchy quality so worth doing fairly regularly 😀
