Please consider signing the Air Ambulance e-petition for government funding. Everytime I see them it makes my blood boil that they are a charity.

I thought they wanted to stay as a charity because it means they can get the latest and best technology, rather than being hindered by funding constraints? RNLI are the same AFAIK.

I agree that they should be fully state supported but I thought I would point out that they are not soley dependant on donations either. The get NHS funding for the medical crews on board them, and the charity pays the for the helicopter and its fuel and pilot.

Noooooo if the government get thier hands on the air ambulances they will ruin them!! Maybe a case for massive lottery funding? Can't think of many other good causes that potentially benifit everyone.
