looks like I might be up in Aberdeen on a training course in early November. I'm wondering abut bringing the bike to ride either thursday night [i]near[/i] Aberdeen, or somewhere on the way south on friday afternoon
Where should I ride? And anyone around to share the local knowledge?

This is the lacal mountainbike club up here.
should give you some ideas of where to ride, there is a forum where you could see if anyone is around to show you about on the Thursday.
