Thinking of heading to Afan end of the month with a friend and my son have not been before so don,t know my way around ,any recommendations ? thanks

I saw this thread this morning and read it with interest as we're heading over there mid week next week...well except there was nothing in it!

I did some research and found the following:
The Queens B&B - no prices on website.
Bryn Teg House
Afan Lodge.... this is what I decided to go for as restaurant and bar on site. Then I found this thread:

We stay at the premier inn on the edge of port talbot. We ask for a ground floor room so we can easily wheel the bikes in which they are quite happy about as long as they arent filthy.

We stayed at the Best Western Aberavon beach. Has a pool, sauna, nice breakfast and a walk on the beach 8) . This was appreciated by the kids before the 1000+ ft climb, followed by hail and freezing rain ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

They'll store bikes for you in the hotel, but I left ours locked to the car.
