the attractiveness of a designers bike was proportional to the amount of sex they got.

with the general conclusion that Cy was a very tired man.

Presumably there was a bit of a drought while he was designing the Hemlock (I love how mine rides, but it does look like a trebuchet)

Two triangles is the way to go, but I do like the Trek Sawyer posted up the page. The standard fork's a bit weird and the very modern finishing kit is all wrong, mind.

I'm devastated.

๐Ÿ˜€

At least its not sporting some matching fuddyduddymamil brown leather effect bar tape.

Don't let make it happen!

Saw one of these at FoD on Friday and it looked properly nice....

Need to save up lots of pennies though, and hope they can be convinced to do an XL size...

This isn't mine, but ever since I've seen these I've wanted one based purely on how amazing they look:

I'm torn by this one... think it might be the stormtrooper thing reminding me of my childhood:

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

and this one has a retro futurism thing going on:

^ yes jive, reminds me of some Hepworth sculpture

[img] [/img]

The Kleins unfortunately, remind me of this

[img] [/img]

Some people seem to be confused what a mountain bike is. It's easier to make a bicycle beautiful if it doesn't have to work off road?

Was just working through this thread and thinking 'good grief, no Kleins' when that post blew it.

and the thread-winner:

And it bucks the trend by going for function over form and achieving none.

I love the look of my Fat bike... I guess it's just how' I'd imagined a bike for off road fun would've looked like as a kid.. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Cotic soul in orange.

Old kona HTs (which cy followed), especially the hei hei Ti.

For curvy new stuff the Ibis Mojo HD in white.

Quite like the flowy top tube of corratec HTs, which the OPs first and third pics followed, only to be ruined by having front ends looking like they've been crashed into a wall.

(well, people keep posting hideous bikes that they think look good, at least we can all agree this one's disgusting)

The innertube wrapped round the chainstay finishes it off nicely.

This is like a rorschach test- anyone who looks at that bike and notices the innertube is obviously diseased.

A bike cannot be aesthetically pleasing if it has:

Black seatpost, headset, pedals, bars, stem or rims. They should of course be polished or silver.
Any type of hydroforming (or ming-butting, which is the correct technical term).
An inline post.
Rear suspension.
A saddle, grips or cables in any colour other than black.
A suspension or dropper post.
A rear tyre wider than the front.

Come on folks, it's not rocket surgery, let's put a bit of effort in, eh?

Find myself lusting after the Swift lately. And find myself swooning at those Niner forks, it's only a fork.... but they are lovely.

In true STW style I'm going to put forward my bike. I think it looks well nice!

[img] [/img]

Could do with matching rims though I guess.

/p>

i wouldn't normally like a bike with that much welding, but the proportions are right, so it looks great. silver helps. classy photo too.

[img] [/img]

that frame and that fork don't belong together at all. look like they're from totally different bikes. imho.

and Rusty Spanner?

your last point, yeah a bigger back tyre has this dragster thing going that's just wrong.
