mates decided he wants to buy a new bike, and this is his choice. hes moving to stornaway soon and fancies exploring on it. hes asked me to give it the once over, and it looks fine to me.
seems to be £1099 everywhere, but he looking at different specs at evans and wheelies.co.uk. think the main difference may be the brakes, on of them elixir 1s, the other shimano m505. quick google suggests both are entry level brakes.

Evans through Quidco = 4% back on bikes. That may make a difference.

The spec on the Evans site is wrong. The spec on the Wheelies site is correct. If you ordered the bike from Evans it'd have the shimano brakes/XT mech etc. if you zoom in on the Evans picture you can see it has XT rear mech and shimano brakes.
