I mean you'll have a nice time here, just be sure to mostly post non-sales threads to chill the unchilled.

ok mekkenolly, what he means is that there is a serious distrust and dislike on this forum of people who only use the forum to sell stuff.
they contribute nothing and take advantage of free advertising to a wide audience.

ok, so i only contribute drivel...... come here for discussion, advice, banta(sp? not yoof c) and then an occassional sale goes down better.
starting a thread, to promote your sale, is a heinous crime - but you know that from lurking right. (or from various previous posts on this thread)

Thank you for clarifying Sob alias/Gofasterstripes. Wondered where the hate was coming from. Ducking bonkers. Just wanted some advice. Am all up for a bit of bantz(sorry). Just seems like a lot of sycophants jumping on the bandwagon without really makin informed judgements. Had cleared out my shed of spare parts will probably hold off listing for a bit! Not a trader, just Skint and wanted to finish a build for my partner. Have responded to a number of posts in a helpful manner recently. Will continue to try and rise above it

you didnt ask for it, but heres my advice on a "shed clearout"

clearing out the shed should reveal lots of stuff that you can sell for peanuts, mostly cos you didnt know you had it, so you wont miss it, so its better to shift it for peanuts+postage. For this create a single, massive, "Shed Clearout" thread with everything listed at the top, links and pics below.

if you want 'real' money for any of the parts, i suggest selling them individually - but as you say, bit at a time.

welcome and that

I wouldn't be so sure of that around these parts

As others have said, decent pics and decent price is the way to go. If someone wants it, it will sell. If not, best to try elsewhere

Back to my point do you have any actual pics of the bike £300 is steep for a bike I plan to use as a computer(edit commuter) . for £300 I can strip respray and rebuild my current commuter . for a decent running third hand bike £150 is about the most I'd pay to stretch to £300 I would want to see some good picks and even then I'll be test ridding at EBS before I buy third hand. All I know from your add is the person whovasked for pics did not buy your bike .

My email identifies my name and or employer which for paranoid reasons I don't publish on here . if you put yours in your profile I'll get in touch I am looking at a pragmatic purchase weighed against referbing my trashed but perfect p7 from the 90s so price is a big issue.

Why not get a photo of your dog riding it. That would attract attention and encourage people to buy it.

Buy my bike, it's so easy to ride, even a dog can ride it.

I would suggest an Irish wolfhound or one of those deerhounds, a chicwawawawawawa would look silly.

Option 2 would be to get a local sexy chav to sit on it, short shorts, Elesse trainers and some gold bling would do.

Buy my bike, get a chav with it.

Nobody is going to steal a bike from a fellow chav, so it will always be safe.

I could almost fulfill both criteria if you think it may help Quirrel. I own a 'chavvy' dog(large Staffy). Also have a bald head and my knowledge of Patois is extensive.

I would buy this bike if there was a picture of a dog riding it. As long as the dog was naked anyway. And you'd post to Hong Kong.

Now that's the funny thing about nudity. Wouldn't a dog wearing a bikini be that little bit sexier?

Where? You got advice, you didn't like it. That doesn't make people "keyboard warriors". It's all totes bantz though, for LOLz.

Now you've progressed to actually just using this thread instead of the classifieds, that's even more irksome.

Are you for real Njee20? You responded to my initial innocent question with the suggestion that I was being underhand in some way("Thinly veiled"). It wasn't the case;I was guilty of being naive to the unwritten rules of this forum re. selling etc.
I have only been polite if a little goading towards you despite your unhelpful/friendliness("knickers in a twist princess","parasite" etc) I was grateful of the advice i've been given and have taken it on board.
I'm afraid that you have to take equal responsibility for the perpetuation of this thread by your Jack Merridewesque behaviour(The main antagonist in the book lord of the Flies).Like any social grouping there is a heiracy (both perceived and actual.) You chose to "kill the pig" rather than show humility and fuel a Stw feeding frenzy. That sort of behaviour although recognised as a base human trait, does little to forward humanity- It is a problem all to prevelant online and is essentially bullying.
I would say that if i were to meet you for a pint and ask you the same question, your answer would've been a stark contrast to your typed response. Thus keyboard warrior.
As I said earlier in this conversation, thanks for your input. I do feel bad that this thread alone has "irked and pissed you off" within 24 hrs. I would suggest you go and have a w*nk or something; relieve some of that pressure!

Mr. P, I woke up to a dearth of emails this morning from countrywide. Mainly inquiries about the bike. Some wanting to know how I can live with myself for having the tenacity to post a classified link on a chat forum.
If I got around £250 for the bike Quirrel. I would be only to pleased to be somebody's Goatboy for the day

I fear you're reading to much into this now. But my apologies for my (seemingly not insignificant) part in the race to the bottom for the human race.

Take my original post:

Needs photos.

You can't bump classified posts.

You listed it two days ago, no need for the thinly veiled extension to your advert.

I wouldn't have said the third point in the pub, because it would have made no sense. I stand by the other two though, so it's a bit of a moot point.

I don't think that was rude, aggressive, bullying, "Jack Merridewesque" or anything else personally!

I can't decide if the goat is strapped on or holding on.

Either way, it is a new way to travel.

I'm wondering if he is a gardener and takes the goat to people to mow their grass.

Thanks for your apology Njee it means a lot. Was just looking for an answer to a question. If you're ever up this way and fancy a ride out on some less traveled trails, give me a shout. I promise i'm nowhere near as pompous/annoying in real life!

Possibly velcro is being used to hold it in place.

This goat uses velcro

As i said earlier Thomthumb, have lurked for years. Initially for bike related advice. Found it more entertaining sitting in the stalls, chewing sparrow hearts, watching the big guns go at each other.

I'm worried that guy with the goat will have goat wee & poo all over his back. Never a good look tbh.
Did the op sell the bike to hora yet?
