Dear avid cyclists,

I'm completing a masters dissertation at UCL on how people use Strava for cycling. If you have 5 minutes please fill in this survey. There is a prize draw with 5 prizes (1x£30($45) & 4x£10($15) amazon giftcards).

Hope some of you will be keen to participate 🙂

I got a PR on the third page.

I may go back later and see if I can beat it.

Which makes me QoT for the next two weeks… until some racer girl notices and fills in her form on a carbon hardtail.

Can I claim my regular 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down the rankings spot?

I was intrigued to see how you would make a masters-level dissertation on this, so decided to have a quick flip through the questions. But stupidly ticked no to do you use Strave and was locked out. So I will never know!

I can't fill it out, it doesn't have my nationality (English, or broadly, British)

The UK is a country

Thanks everyone for all your help 🙂

Just wondering, are there any women who use these forums AND use Strava? Only 2% of the responses I got were from women!! I know there aren't many of us using Strava but still!!

Not many women who fulfil both those criteria! As a committed female Strava-addict, hopefully I can boost those numbers!

Thanks for replying (and completing the survey) everyone, I'm supervising Alison's MSc project and suggested that here would be a great place to share the survey, I'm pleased that I wasn't proved wrong!

I warned her to expect talk of badgers, picolax, weeing in shoes and owning with bombers but I'm very pleased to see everybody was on their best behaviour!

Thanks again all, we're still wanting lots more replies so please fill out & share if you haven't already!

Happy to fill it in but only just started on strava. Is my opinion worthy?

Give it time, give it time.

Does digital epo work with this survey?

In the interests of transparency, I had baked beans for breakfast so my survey will be wind assisted.

If using strava means still trying to work out how to make it work, then I'm your man. I'll attempt to fill outthe survey but can't guarantee I'll do it correctly..

Done, no mention though of using Strava on the way home from cocktails at the student union (assuming it's still going)!

Good luck with the dissertation.

I've used Strava to record my walk home form the pub a few times 🙂

Probably a better response than you'd get leaving up a tear off slip in the UCL bike sheds eh but I guess that's all a learning part of research efficacy eh...
