hi guys ive got a rockhopper 2010. i bought replacement headset cartridges from superstar :

but my existing crown race wont sit neatly into it as the bearing cartridge does not have an angled lip. i realize that the other bearing that they sell are cane creek compatible but the bearing dimensions are different.

but they say fits tapered headset only???
so can anyone tell me whats going on??

What headset do you have? Different headsets take different cartridges and a crown race tends to be headset specific too. The Superstar cartridges seem to fit all Superstar headsets and claim to be Cane Creek compatible too, but I'm also not sure that all Cane Creek headset use interchangeable cartridges and crown races.
The best bet might be to contact Superstar and check that their cartridges are compatible with your headset.
