FWIW Ton, you have always come across to me as a pretty normal, decent bloke and one who easily passes the 'would I like to have a pint with him' test.

There are some very prissy pseudo-intellectuals on here who seem a quite detached from the real world and I agree with what paulosoxo said early on in the piece.

Chin up big fella ๐Ÿ˜‰

Elf, if you behave in real life anything like you do on here then I should think you have a very eventful life.

I suspect that is not the case though is it?

Elf; yes, of course...

For the record, and despite his antagonistic nature on the forum, the Elf is (it would appear) not so different from Ton regarding his warm nature and generosity...

The trouble will him is that he's actually a shitload more intelligent than folk give him credit for.

Don't tell him though - he'll be insufferable...

I suspect things might be a tad different if I were 6'4", and a proper big scary looking bastard.

Well - you'd probably not suffer from Small Man Syndrome for a start.

just to reiterate, there will be no more fist pie jokes or referances from me, seeing as some people take it the wrong way.

Notice you posted that picture of yourself showing some cheeky nip ton - saucy! For what it's worth, ton and I are from the same part of the world - I've drunk in the same pubs, hung out with the same people and wrestled in the same black underpanties (the bit about the underpanties wasnt true though), The thing is, round here, for mine and tons generation, giving somebody a bit of fist pie or a good shoeing isnt that big a deal, or at least talking about it isnt. It's a load of old cock really, but it's certainly not worth getting wound up about, and especially not on an internet forum.

Ton - its fairly obvious to me you are joking with these things, forget about the losers and get on with enjoying life. It only matters if you value their opinion and lets face it there are a few on here that arent worth bothering yourself about.

It's the responses as much, if not more, than the OP. Who gives a toss what these freaks think of you?

My apologies for going off tengentially for a moment, I CBA to read the whole thread, but don't have any issues with the OP, I've noticed periodic threats of violence as a way of solving things, but it doesn't really affect me. I don't recall any specific threats.

However... is your name Ton, as in a metric ton, or as in 'Tone', short for Tony?

I hate these names that can be pronounced various ways. Mine is my initials, N.J.E.E, not En-Jee as most people say.

Anyway, as you were.

It's been a long time since I felt so saddened by a thread on an internet forum.

I've had the priviledge of meeting Ton. I genuinely like the guy.

What I really don't understand is the motivation of those who feel they need to wade-in and criticise another for failure to meet the entry requirements for their own circle of friends. Wouldn't it be a boring place if we were all fitted the same stereotype.
