looks pleasant. How far is that loop and do you go around Meldon reservoir at all?
I have a similar route starting by going through the golf club then over to Sourton and looping round the other side of the old A30 but has a bit of road in it as well. Do you have a map of yours?

Millions of little black frogs at Meldon - my kids spent ages catching them, just on that first path you used to get down to the road. Didn't get much of a chance to cycle that bit - Castle Drogo was all I did, and that was fun.
